In this week’s episode, we explore the topic of boundaries — whether that may be physical or emotional. Sometimes setting boundaries is an important aspect of self-care that maintains our own safety and wellbeing. Too often, the fear of rejection prevents us from setting these boundaries. Instead, we might compromise our values or try to appease someone else to not feel like a bad person.
As we talk about in this episode, creating firm rules around bedtime routines or the amount of work that we take on may be harder to accomplish than we think. Most of the time, we become too rigid in these boundaries and this can lead to increased personal defences. As our personal walls grow, they become harder to penetrate and change.
When should we say ‘yes’, and when should we say ‘no’? Join us on this week’s episode as we discuss the topics of creating boundaries in the workspace, between friends, and how to stick with the lines that we draw by following through with them (no take-backs). Listen in as we explore these topics and much more if you want to learn more about boundaries.
